All the staff we met were very pleasant and seemed to have a smile on their faces. The campsite had a natural beauty. We're sorry we couldn't stay longer but we were in a hurry to get to warmer weather down South.

For an overnight stop, drive through pitches are really good and save a lot of time

Although there was a marker showing our pitch, it wasn't clear which way the pitch was laid out. Some clearer pitch markings would be helpful...

The pitches we were in were in an area where many trees had been cut down, unfortunately I was unable to see most of the remaining stumps over the bonnet of my car because there was no indication of the position. I actually caused damage to my car by driving into one. The stumps should be either fenced off or a post hammered into them with a warning sign on top of them to make them visible from inside a car.

Lovely relaxed setting. It got better as the week progressed and we discovered more. Best campsite swimming pool we’ve ever visited. Paddle boarding on the lake is fantastic. The butchers and bakery in the village were brilliant. The cooking/shower pods on our pitch were worth the extra cost.

My only suggestion would be more information on things to do close to the campsite in the reception area.

the food outlet offers very expensive and very poor offerings as choices are all high fat . i drove 10 mins up the road and had a high quality 3 course meal for 4 persons for less money than the rather expensive burgers on the globtrotter offering . i just dont think this food at glob trotter is to my expectation and the costs very high in my opinion

Loved the lake. Pitches were big. Nice snack bar. Food cooked whilst we waited to take away. Ideally situated near the motorway. Really friendly staff on arrival.

Just a tiny point but the bins were overflowing and the recycling wasn’t obvious.

We had reserved pitches in the shade, directed to our pitch only to find it occupied! Reception said they could do nothing about it and to go and find our own pitch. What is the point of having reservation and allocating pitches?

The anpr system on the gate is excellent, feels very secure.

Although nr railway line it was peaceful after dark. Close to main road. Pleasant staff.

Pitch identification was noticeably difficult for some visitors when arriving. Site could do with a tidy up.

Good, clean sanitary block. Lovely beach with lake swimming. Convenient location for the autoroute. Level pitches.

Our pitch had no shade at all and on a very hot day that was extremely uncomfortable. We appreciate that new trees have been planted, but it will be some time before they will have a positive impact.

We opted for the pitch with private terrace and shower cubicle - very nice

The chairs to the outdoor furniture were covered in juice from last guests. We had to clean so our dogs wouldn't lick it. There was also faeces in toilet that hadnt been flushed - smelled terrible

Loverly campsite, we've stayed 5 or 6 times now but we find the new management a bit slow. We were as always using the ACSI card discount scheme, but they had to close the pitches for health and safety, and told us we would have to pay full price which we weren't happy about, when talking to other people they had only charge them ACSI price for the same pitch as us so we feel we have been exploited on the price.

More hard standing pitches be cause when it rains it's very boggy so lots of pitches can't be used.

It was a fantastic pit stop. We loved the beautiful setting.

The area for camping is ok

We have been to the campsite several times and used to park by the lake. Now it's all cabins. Also the nicer area for motorhome is more expensive. The campsite is now not so good for camping and motorhome etc. It seems to want just chalets and glamping.

This was my favourite site. And we have pitched on many areas of the campsite. The field that is being used for acsi camping needs to be drained as easily waterlogged. The last owners pitched the units depending on the weather and state of the land
